That's fair. What I was thinking was that although he should definitely have taken her when she said she needed to go to the ER, there's a difference between not taking your partner to the ER when you don't think it's justified (especially when you're concerned about incurring further medical debt) and not taking them to the ER when they obviously need to go (e.g., broken bone, deliriously high fever). Neither is good!! But one is much worse than the other.
